ECE enrolment often requires multiple documents and follow-up checks. Verifiable Credentials allow authoritative agencies to issue digitally signed proofs that families can share securely and selectively.
Ecosystem roles
- Issuers: Identity and health authorities issuing guardianship and immunisation credentials.
- Holders: Parents or guardians storing credentials in a wallet.
- Verifier: The ECE provider confirming eligibility at enrolment.
Privacy and assurance
Selective disclosure supports privacy (share only what is needed), while status checks ensure credentials remain current when policies or records change.
