UNIFY can work with AD FS in existing authentication architectures that bridge on-premises identities into remote access or federated application flows. In practice this is usually part of a broader remote workforce or transition pattern where stronger authentication and centralized policy are layered around legacy enterprise sign-on.

Microsoft now recommends migrating from AD FS to Microsoft Entra ID rather than extending AD FS as a future-state platform. For that reason, AD FS is typically relevant in UNIFY engagements as a coexistence, risk-reduction, or modernization component rather than as the preferred long-term identity architecture. See Microsoft’s guidance on AD FS overview and migration direction and AD FS decommission planning.
