Delegated Access for Onsite Medical Applications

Onsite medical service providers need to manage access to their applications across approved teams and service partners. UNIFYElevate can support delegated user, role and application administration within the service owner’s defined scope. Appointment scheduling, clinical records and decisions about who may view health information remain responsibilities of the connected applications and provider policies.

Define Administrative Responsibilities

The service owner defines which applications, roles and administrative actions can be delegated. Approved administrators manage users and access within that scope, while the provider retains control of the application permissions and delegation boundaries.

Coordinating a workplace medical service does not itself grant access to clinical records. Administrative roles for employers, HR teams or service partners need to be distinguished from permissions to view health information.

An Access Administration Scenario

A provider delivers onsite services at several locations and wants approved team administrators to handle routine access changes for their own staff.

The service owner sets the roles and actions available to those administrators. They can then manage user access within the assigned boundaries as staff join, move between responsibilities or leave. Changes outside that scope remain with the service owner and its agreed approval process.

Scheduling appointments and managing clinical information remain functions of the provider’s connected applications. The delegated administration model governs access operations rather than delivery of medical care.

Scope the Implementation

Before delegating administration, establish:

  • Which applications and roles are available to each team or partner.
  • Which user and access changes an administrator may perform.
  • Who can approve changes to the delegation scope.
  • How access changes and removal are handled when responsibilities end.
  • What administrative activity is retained for support and review.

Integration requirements and access workflows need to be agreed for the provider’s environment. Permissions in clinical systems remain subject to the provider’s controls and policies.
