UNIFYConnect Agent
UNIFYConnect Agent is the private-network connectivity component of UNIFYConnect. It provides secure outbound relay-based connectivity between customer-hosted systems and UNIFY-managed identity workflows where target systems remain inside private networks.
Formerly referred to publicly as UNIFY Port Bridge, UNIFYConnect Agent is used where UNIFY needs controlled access to internal services such as Active Directory, HR systems, or other private-network application targets without exposing those systems directly to the internet.
Key Benefits
- Secure outbound relay-based connectivity for private-network targets.
- Works with cloud, hybrid, and on-premises identity environments.
- Runs as a Windows service or console application.
- Supports practical connectivity to directories, HR systems, and internal applications.
How It Works
UNIFYConnect Agent is packaged for customer-hosted deployment and is currently delivered using azbridge.exe. It can run as a Windows service or as a console application, depending on the deployment requirement.
UNIFY works with each customer to define the required relay name, host, and host-port mappings for the internal service being exposed to the UNIFYConnect workflow.
Connection Workflow
How Do I Use It?
UNIFY will work with you to configure your specific connection requirements. You will need to:
- Install UNIFYConnect Agent on an approved internal Windows host.
- Configure the required relay, host, and port mappings for the private-network target.
- Apply the customer-specific credentials and runtime settings provided for the deployment.
Installing as a Windows Service
UNIFYConnect Agent can be installed as a Windows service for automated startup and stability, or run as a console application where appropriate for testing or controlled operations.
UNIFY will provide the appropriate packaging and installation guidance for the deployed version of azbridge.exe used in the customer environment.
Security & Compliance
- Customer-specific access control and runtime configuration.
- Encrypted relay-based connectivity for internal targets.
- Deployment aligned to customer governance and network requirements.
