Information exchange

Share the right information through the right channel.

At UNIFY, we prioritize the security and privacy of all information shared with us. We’ve designed a robust protocol for our information exchange process, ensuring that both standard and sensitive information are handled with utmost care and confidentiality.

UNIFY separates standard business information from sensitive information such as personal data and secrets, then applies the exchange method that matches the risk.

PGP public-key encryption available for sensitive details and secrets
PII personal information handled through higher-assurance channels
Flexible customer-approved secure channels supported where they meet security standards
Exchange categories

Classify before you send.

The handling path depends on whether the information would create risk if intercepted, misdirected, or disclosed.

Standard information

General project details, timelines, resource requirements, and other low-risk information can usually be exchanged through normal business channels.

Sensitive information

Personal information, credentials, client secrets, and other sensitive material need an added layer of protection before transmission.

Protocol

Use a simple secure exchange flow.

  1. Classify the information Confirm whether the material is standard project information, personal information, a secret, or another sensitive asset.
  2. Choose an approved channel Use standard communication for low-risk information, or PGP encryption and agreed secure channels for sensitive material.
  3. Encrypt where required Use UNIFY's public PGP key to encrypt sensitive content before sending it to the intended recipient.
  4. Confirm handling expectations Where a customer has a preferred secure exchange process, UNIFY can align with it when it meets appropriate security standards.
PGP public key

Encrypt sensitive details before transmission.

For personal information, client secrets, and similarly sensitive material, UNIFY recommends PGP encryption unless a customer-approved secure exchange method has been agreed.
