Position Details

The Practice Lead is a key member of our delivery team and is responsible for leading the CIAM, Test and Engineering Consulting teams in UNIFY.

Responsibilities

General

  • Provide leadership to the teams in the practice
  • Work closely with project managers and other team members to ensure that components of projects are delivered within scope and cost
  • Work with the Head of Professional Services to ensure that the right level of competency is available in order to drive best in class Delivery  
  • Creating an environment of collaboration and knowledge sharing through avenues such as working groups and communities of practices 
  • Where appropriate, participate in the definition of organizational standards for the practice 
  • Ensuring strong insight to future direction of the capabilities and technology of the Delivery function to ensure currency and future proofing 
  • Take a leadership and advisory role on major projects, both to assist projects be successful and also to achieve repeat business targets. 
  • Provide technical feedback into presales process to ensure capture of technical scope and accurate costings 
  • Undertake post implementation analysis to facilitate Continual Improvement where required 
  • Work with the customer success team to help them develop account strategies and go to market approaches and assist in developing sales collateral required to support new initiatives

Testing

  • Own the overarching testing strategy and plans for projects and initiatives
  • Communicate clearly to our customers and stakeholders our test approach and apply strategic thinking in resolving challenges in testing and driving the direction of the test team
  • Analyse complex software systems and determine the most effective testing approach
  • Define and implement test automation frameworks and scripts
  • Ensure that test entry criteria and exit criteria are always defined and met as part of the SDLC/STLC 
  • Manage test triage and reporting process; communicate test results, risks, and status to stakeholders

Software Engineering/ B2C Development

  • Software engineering, including but not limited to requirements gathering, analysis, design, development, testing, maintenance, improvements, and documentation 
  • Azure B2C configuration and development, including but not limited to requirements gathering, analysis, design, development, testing, maintenance, improvements, and documentation 
  • Streamline service deliveries of technical offerings and internal systems, for example: build, continuous integration and deployment 
  • Advise and assist service delivery teams on improving their operating procedures 
  • Assist with measuring success on improvements 
  • Provide input in identifying customer solutions, as required 
  • Participate in appropriate design and technical discussions for product and engineering related solutions 
  • Delivery-based project activities achieved on or before scheduled time and within budget 
  • Provide input in implementing engineering solutions, where appropriate 
  • Provide appropriate level 3 support as required 

Selection Criteria

Mandatory

  • 5+ years of experience in technical project management and delivery. 
  • Proven experience leading and managing technical delivery teams. 
  • Strong experience with project management methodologies and tools. 
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. 
  • Strong understanding of software development processes and technologies.
  • Experience in analysing requirements and reviewing and writing test plans
  • Experience in estimating test effort for projects

Desirable

  • Experience and understanding of Identity Access and Management is highly regarded
  • Experience in Agile methodologies is strongly desired
  • Hands on experience as a tester (assistance may be needed occasionally). 
  • Experience with testing REST and SOAP APIs with tools such as SOAP UI / READYAPI or Postman
  • Experience in automating test execution as part of a continuous integration pipeline is highly regarded (knowledge of CI / CD is essential)
  • Experience with Web testing tools such as Selenium and App testing tools such as Appium is highly regarded

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 
  • PMP, Prince2 or other project management certification would be an advantage. 
  • Diploma (or higher) in management would be an advantage
