Microsoft Entra External ID can be used in UNIFY architectures where customer, partner, or other external users need secure access to applications without being treated as workforce identities. Depending on the implementation pattern, it can act as the external authentication platform for UNIFYTrust, the identity layer behind delegated administration journeys in UNIFYElevate, or a connected source and target for lifecycle automation through UNIFYConnect.

Where approved interfaces are available, UNIFYConnect can use Microsoft Graph and related supported Microsoft integration methods to broker lifecycle and access changes into connected applications and processes. This supports more consistent external identity operations across customer-facing, partner-facing, and delegated administration scenarios while keeping Azure AD B2C available as a separate legacy supported product entry where that older platform remains in use.
