UNIFYConnect/Aurion Testing Advice
UNIFY recommends the following test plan to ensure a successful UNIFYConnect/Aurion implementation.
Development
Customers are responsible for providing access to a suitable Aurion test environment for integration and functional testing.
User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
A dedicated UAT environment with Aurion and Active Directory/Microsoft Entra ID is highly recommended. This allows your team to validate operations, ensure data integrity, and identify potential remediation steps before production deployment.
We recommend the following UAT tests:
Integration Test
Performed after infrastructure setup to confirm successful connectivity. UNIFY will send a confirmation report after completion.
Data Load Test
- A bulk data load is conducted to analyze changes and verify expected results.
- Any data inconsistencies are flagged, and remediation steps are provided.
Once confirmed, the UAT system is considered ready.
Acceptance Testing
HR and IT staff should verify the following scenarios:
Employee Onboarding
- Add a new employee in Aurion and verify:
- An account is created in Microsoft Entra ID or Active Directory.
- The correct attributes (e.g., name, title, email) are synchronized.
Employee Updates
Test changes in Aurion for an existing employee:
- Name change
- Phone number update
- Title, position, or manager update
Verify that all updates correctly sync to Entra ID/Active Directory.
Employee Offboarding
- Terminate an employee in Aurion and confirm:
- The directory account is disabled at the appropriate time.
- Group memberships and access are revoked.
Production Testing
Production Validation Testing (PVT)
Before go-live, UNIFY will confirm that all components are connected correctly.
Final Data Load Test
- A final data load is performed to validate expected system changes.
- Any remaining data issues are flagged for correction before production activation.
After acceptance, UNIFY will coordinate the go-live schedule with your team.
