About Sasha

Stuff.co.nz recently profiled Sasha and her story.

In 1996, just five days after her fifth birthday, Temaru was diagnosed with leukaemia. She went through two years of chemotherapy and there were checkups for most of her childhood. It was only when she was 13 she was declared fully recovered.
